Kathryn Satoh thrives on genuine and purposeful human connections, which serve as the driving force behind her artistic pursuits. A co-founder and violinist of the duo Bow & Hammer (2012-2020), she orchestrated innovative performance series that brought classical music into the social spotlight. These experiences inspired close collaborations with fellow artists and small businesses, strengthened through local and international residencies in Italy and Canada.

Her dedication to collaboration extends to her view of chamber music as an everlasting expression of societal progress. Kathryn's diverse skill set as a vocalist and violinist has led her to collaborate with a broad spectrum of artists – from theaters, opera companies, composers, and poets to actors and multi-disciplinary groups. These ventures have graced her with performances alongside esteemed entities like the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and the Grant Park Music Festival Chorus.

Recognizing the transformative power of the arts, Kathryn enthusiastically engages in teaching all ages. Her roles have spanned from faculty to administrative positions and beyond. She has excelled as a guest lecturer, collaboration coach, and adjudicator for various festivals and competitions, championing music's ability to empower individuals on personal journeys of learning.

With dual Bachelor of Music degrees with distinction from the University of Colorado, and a Master of Business Administration from Dominican University, Kathryn embodies a commitment to excellence and whole-person growth. Amidst her professional endeavors, she finds solace in memoirs, delicious meals, nature's beauty, and sharing adventures with friends. Her dynamic journey is a testament to the fusion of passion, connection, and relentless pursuit of personal and artistic fulfillment.
